Purchased as a western retreat for their Colorado escapes from Wisconsin, this couple asked us to do the architecture and interior design for the condo’s remodel.  They wanted to create an open floor plan with updated finishes that focused around their desire to entertain family and friends.

First we flipped the layout of the kitchen/dining/great room, creating a high-functioning and spacious new kitchen which draws in the light from the wall of windows at the end.  It utilizes lighter colored cabinetwork, efficient metal-finish appliances, and the white granite countertops for a luminous feel.  By removing the upstairs study, the result in the great room is a dramatic gathering area centered by a stone and tile fireplace, and a locally sourced wooden mantle above. Deleting the upstairs laundry allowed for a grand master bath with expansive walk-in shower, soaking tub, and sink space finished in a luxurious marble.  The old bedroom and WIC were reworked to provide an intimate bedroom and improved usability.
